Dr. Badrakhan and Dr. Al-Omari of Al-Ahliyya Amman University take part in a seminar entitled (Celebratory Gunfire: Reality and Challenges)

Dr. Sawsan Badrkhan and Asma Al-Omari of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Al-Ahliyya Amman University participated in a cultural seminar entitled (Celebratory Gunfire: Reality and Challenges). The seminar was organized by the General Directorate of Security at Al-Hussein Cultural Center on Wednesday, 29/10/2014. The seminar addressed a range of themes, notably the role of education and Islamic culture in responding to the phenomenon of firing gunshots, the role of Imams and preachers in raising awareness about this phenomenon, the role of teachers and schools in social upbringing, and finally the role of security agents in handling this practice.In light of the interventions made by the participants of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, it was agreed to conduct joint studies and develop an awareness program on this issue for Al-Ahliyya Amman University students.
