Discussion on Collaboration between AAU and Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus

Professor Anas Al-Soud, our Vice President for International Relations and Quality Affairs, welcomed Dr. Ali Ozturk, Vice President of Eastern Mediterranean University for Promotion and Institutional Communications, accompanied by Mr. Sevket Serkan, Visual Media Coordinator at Eastern Mediterranean University in Turkish Cyprus, to discuss avenues of collaboration between the two parties. Attending the meeting from the Global Engagement Center were Ms. Reem Aabid, Head of the Reputation and Communication Department, and Ms. Iman Atalli, Head of the International Research Projects Department. The two parties exchanged views and experiences in the fields of education and scientific research, where Prof. Anas Al-Soud expressed AAU’s readiness to enhance academic and scientific cooperation with Eastern Mediterranean University in various areas. The meeting included a detailed presentation by Dr. Al-Saud about the university since its establishment as the first private university in Jordan, covering its strategic plan, vision, faculties, centers, programs, and future plans. Dr. Ali Ozturk praised the international reputation enjoyed by AAU in the region and the world, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made by the university in developing education and scientific research in the region. He emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two universities to achieve common goals and enhance quality in higher education. The delegation was taken on a tour of some university facilities, including the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Hospitality and Culinary Arts, where they were received by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Suzie Hatouk.
