Discussion of Master s Thesis of Student Zeinab Qadi at Al-Ahliyya Amman University
The Supervisory Committee in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University discussed the Master’s Thesis of student Zainab Shirwan Qadi entitled: “Developing and Affirming a Method for Analyzing Indacaterol (New Ultra-Long-Acting Bronchodilator) in Biological Samples”. The discussion committee comprised Dr. Wisam Amari, as President of the Committee/main supervisor, Dr. Mohammed Khalil, CEO of Acdima Center for Pharmaceutical Research and Studies/co-supervisor, Dr. Mayada Wathaefi, external member of the University of Jordan, Dr. Iqbal Al-Khatib and Dr. Ghaleb Erekat, as members of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Ahliyya Amman University. This research was conducted with complete logistical support by Acdima for Pharmaceutical Research and Studies which provided technical training for student Zainab to run and use the analysis equipment laboratory (HPLC-MS/MS) and provided all necessary chemicals and consumables for conducting the research. This cooperation between Dr. Wisam Amari of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Acdima Centre in supporting scientific research embodies Al-Ahliyya Amman University vision and mission to strengthen academic and scientific partnership between the University and different industry sectors to conduct applied research, which would serve national industries, especially pharmaceutical industry, which is the main supporter of Jordan domestic economy.At the end of the discussion, the Committee commended the results of the thesis, which is the first of its kind and which was not made or published previously at the world level. The Committee recommended the success of the student and awarded her the masters degree in pharmaceutical sciences, after making minor adjustments in accordance with the Committees observations.
