Department of Multimedia and Graphic Design Organizes Field Visit to Al-Fanar Printing Press

The Department of Multimedia and Graphic Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design – Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized a field visit to Al-Fanar Printing Press for students enrolled in the Modern Printing Techniques course. The visit was coordinated by the course instructor, Dr. Faten Al-Jazzar, faculty member in the department, and accompanied by administrative staff members and lab supervisors Mohammad Ibrahim and Imad Al-Nabulsi. During the visit, students toured the facility and were introduced to advanced printing equipment and offset printing technologies. The tour was led by Ms. Sahar Mohammad Ali, Deputy Executive Director of Al-Fanar Printing Press, who explained the full printing process—from design file preparation and color correction in the design department to film production and final print output. These applied field visits aim to enhance students’ theoretical and practical knowledge, bridging academic outcomes with market demands. The initiative supports the preparation of a new generation of designers equipped to keep pace with modern technologies and meet the evolving challenges of the printing industry.
