Delegation from Agricultural Engineers Association visits Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University
Al-Ahliyya Amman University received a delegation representing the Association of Agricultural Engineers on Tuesday, 9/11/2021, headed by H.E. Association president aricultural Engineer Abdul Hadi Al-Falahat, Deputy Agricultural Engineer Nihad Al Ali, Dr. Lama Ebana, Agricultural Engineer Rami Al-Sharif, and Agricultural Engineer Nazir Abu RummanThe visit is part of the activities of the college and aims to complement the requirements of the Association registration of the graduates of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology as licensed agricultural engineers and to obtain the title of agricultural engineer.The visit began with a reception in the office of the President of the University, Dr. Sari Hamdan, who welcomed the delegation and stressed the importance of agriculture in achieving the vision of the Jordanian state and His Majesty the King in supporting the agricultural sector and developing it to contribute to national income.The Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Redha Al-Khawaldah, explained the role of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology in supplying the labor market with agricultural engineers with contemporary skills and distinctive knowledge to participate in pushing forward the agricultural progress and smart agriculture.The Association president stressed their support for the college and its graduates and highlighted the activities of the Association and its projects, especially those concerned with smart agriculture and gene engineering. The Dean then lectured on the faculty's facilities and infrastructure which include dedicated laboratories, green house, and training programs. He also talked about students’ study plan and courses specialized in biotechnology, smart agriculture, and gene engineering.Dr. Sobhia Se’efan, Head of Agricultural Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, explained the importance of this specialization and the study courses that meet the market need and which match global developments to contribute to food security, climate change, and resources protection.The delegation, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, toured the university, the building of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, and the Green House. The visiting delegation expressed its interest in the college as a distinguished and specialized college that deserves all support and appreciation and thanked the university for its hospitality and friendly reception.
