Dean of Faculty of Information Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University meets freshmen
Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Odwan, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, met with new students for the first semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The meeting was held face-to-face Nizar Qabbani Amphitheater, as well as remotely through the Microsoft Times platform, in the presence of vice deans, department heads and a number of faculty members at the college.At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Dr. Al-Odwan welcomed the new students and congratulated them on their success and for selecting Al-Ahliyya Amman university and the Faculty of Information Technology in particular to complete their studies, praising the progress witnessed by the university and the successes witnessed by the college, including obtaining Jordanian Quality Assurance Certificate for four years and previously obtaining American Accreditation for the specialization of networks and information security. Dr. Adwan also reviewed the programs offered by the College, noting that a master's degree in cybersecurity was opened. He gave a range of educational tips and messages to students, the most important of which was the need to strive for knowledge and to abide by the regulations and instructions in force at Al-Ahliyya Amman University. Professor Al-Odwan affirmed the importance of students communicating with academic advisors through all possible means, such as email, Microsoft Times platform, or other available means, stressing that the doors are always open for students to receive answers to their inquiries in all fields, academic or personal. He also pointed out that all facilities and services in the college are for students and for their benefit. He encouraged students to participate in local, regional, and international competitions, considering their importance in raising the level of students and their skills, pointing out that the university administration pushes towards such participation and is willing to provide any necessary support. Dr. Al-Odwan also explained the ways in which courses will be taught, which will be applied during the current semester (Face-to-face- Integrated -Electronic). At the end of the meeting, there was a Q&A session in which the college administration answered the students' inquiries and received their suggestions. The Dean concluded the meeting, wishing the students success and prosperity, and calling upon them to keep safe and healthy from the Corona pandemic.
