Dean of Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University participates in dialogue on regional policies for framework of biodiversity beyond 2021

Dr. Redha Al-Khawalda, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, participated in the dialogue on regional policies for framework of biodiversity beyond 2020, held in Cairo on 4-5/12/2021 at the invitation by the Global Environment Facility/Small Grants Program. The meeting aimed to benefit from sustainable and management policies, natural resources for biodiversity, and to build competencies in local communities and local community organizations. The dialogue was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Environment in Egypt, international and local organizations, groups, and researchers. The two-day program included multiple lectures and discussions on the priorities of the next phase in biodiversity at the level of a joint strategy for biodiversity for the region, in addition to priority projects, to raise the level of utilization of biodiversity, preserve genetic resources, and share experiences, information and data. Challenges to biodiversity, including climate change, financial support for projects, among others, were also discussed.
