Cooperation agreement between Al-Hourani Group and Huawei
On Monday, Al-Hourani Group and Huawei signed a joint cooperation agreement that aims at enhancing cooperation and knowledge exchange through benefiting from Huawei’s latest devices, hardware, and technology.The agreement also aims at organizing training courses and providing support to students at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, one of the enterprises of al-Hourani Group. It also aims at implementing various Huawei programs in a number of areas. Chairman of the University's Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al Hourani, University President Dr. Sari Hamdan, and Executive Director of Hawawi in Jordan and Lebanon, Jian Wang Ethan signed the agreement in the presence of Minister of Digital Economy and Leadership Ahmed Al-Hananada. Minister Al-Hanada applauded the status of the university and its programs, achievements, and the quality of its graduates, stressing the importance of the agreement for qualifying the university students and raising their potentials in dealing with the latest developments in the digital age, and providing the opportunity to introduce and operate the advanced devices produced by Huawei, and updating them with the latest achievements in its various fields. He also applauded Huawei's cooperation with many Jordanian universities and scientific institutions that aims at raising the quality of their graduates and providing them with the latest technological software.For his part, Dr. Hourani said that cooperation with Huawei reaffirms the university's keenness on employing the latest technological tools and training programs and making them available to the university students in order to enhance their skills and enrich the local, regional, and international labor markets with the university students’ distinctive experiences. Mr. Ethan praised the university's successes, achievements, and reputation, stressing that the agreement is one of the steps the company is taking for promoting local talents in order to prepare and support future ICT leaders and digital transformation. University President Dr. Sari Hamdan said that the agreement bridges the gap between the academic and industrial sectors, pointing out that networking with international companies is aimed at supporting the university's efforts to place itself among prestigious universities, and keeping pace with Jordan's aspirations for becoming a regional center for the telecommunications and artificial intelligence sector.Dr. Anas Al-Saud, Assistant President of the University, presented the university's plan for digital transformation and the creation of a smart educational environment in cooperation with Huawei International, which will commence in fulfillment of the agreement.
