Cooperation agreement between Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the European Court
Al-Ahliyya Amman University signed a cooperation agreement with the European Court of Arbitration/ Sharm Al-Sheikh International Arbitration Centre. The aim of this agreement, signed by Prof. Sadeq Hamid, President of AAU University, and Prof. Nasri Marco, Chairman of the Center, is to support the culture of referral to arbitration, as one of the most important alternative means of dispute resolution. The agreement further aims at promoting closer links between the University and the European Court through the exchange of theoretical expertise in this field and holding specialized courses in order to create a generation of qualified Arabs arbitrators who are able to settle civil and commercial disputes through arbitration. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Mamoun Al-Dabei, Vice President of the University, Dr. Najam Rabadi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Ms. Ines Hourani, Director of Public and International Relations Department, who received on behalf of her father, Prof. Ahmed Al-Hourani, founder of the University, an honorary degree from the European Court in recognition of his outstanding efforts in the field of higher education.
