Continued Excellence: AAU’s Faculty of Pharmacy Receives Four-Year ACPE Accreditation Renewal

The American Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) has renewed the international American accreditation certificate for pharmacy education at the Faculty of Pharmacy, AAU, for a prestigious four-year period (2024-2028). This achievement is a testament to the relentless dedication and unwavering commitment of the Faculty of Pharmacy towards meeting rigorous accreditation standards. The accreditation process, which evaluated 26 criteria encompassing the quality of pharmacy education, field training, international collaborations, and community service initiatives, has culminated in this significant recognition. Professor Sari Hamdan, University President, expressed immense pride and satisfaction in this milestone accomplishment, acknowledging the concerted efforts of the faculty, university administration, and continuous support from Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors. This accreditation underscores AAU's strategic vision of obtaining esteemed international accreditations across all disciplines, aligning with its mission to provide exceptional academic education adhering to the highest global standards. Professor Anas Rateb Al-Soud, Vice President for International Relations and Quality Affairs, emphasized that this achievement elevates AAU's standing in international rankings, following its recent accolade as the top private Jordanian university and third among all Jordanian universities in the World QS ranking for 2024 (#801-850). Dr. Wisam Ghazi Amari, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, credited the renewal of ACPE's accreditation to the concerted efforts of the faculty's dedicated team, led by Dr. Arwa Omar Al-Khatib. Under the visionary leadership of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Tanani, the Faculty of Pharmacy has embarked on a transformative journey of modernization and development, enriching curricula with cutting-edge scientific courses, prioritizing clinical field training, and establishing a state-of-the-art Pharmacological and Diagnostic Research Center. This accreditation reaffirms AAU's commitment to providing contemporary pharmacy education and training, equipping graduates with the skills to fulfill the noble mission of pharmacy, and contributing to sustainable development in the healthcare sector at local and regional levels.
