Conclusion of the 7th Edition of the Late Dr. Ahmad Al-Hourani Award for Quran Recitation and Mastery for Jordanian University Students

Under the patronage of Professor Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the Deanship of Student Affairs organized an honorary ceremony for the winners of the 7th edition of the Late Dr. Ahmad Al-Hourani Award for Quran Recitation and Mastery, which was held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Al-Hourani Auditorium. During the ceremony, Prof. Sari Hamdan presented honorary shields to the judging panel in appreciation of their efforts in ensuring the success of the competition. The panel included Professor Dr. Abdul Hamid Al-Kurdi, general supervisor of the award; Dr. Asmaa Al-Omari from Al-Ahliyya Amman University; Lecturer Mohammad Habboub from Al-Ahliyya Amman University; and Dr. Zainab Ma’abdeh from the University of Jordan. The ceremony was attended by Professor Ahmad Hamdan, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and Professor Dr. Mustafa Al-Atiyyat, Dean of Student Affairs. In the male student category, the results were as follows: • 1st Place: Othman Hasan Shbeika – World Islamic Sciences and Education University • 2nd Place: Mohammad Ahmad Alean – Applied Science Private University • 3rd Place: Hamzah Ibrahim Hammoud – Al-Hussein Bin Talal University In the female student category: • 1st Place: Nour Yasmeen Bint Desouki – World Islamic Sciences and Education University • 2nd Place: Israa Mohammad Al-Afawi – Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan • 3rd Place: Suha Mohammad Abbad – Irbid National University Notably, the seventh edition of the award featured participants from 16 public and private Jordanian universities: Al-Ahliyya Amman, Mutah, Al-Hussein Technical, World Islamic Sciences and Education, Irbid National, Al-Zaytoonah, Tafila Technical, Applied Science, University of Jordan, Petra, Middle East, Ajloun National, Yarmouk, Philadelphia, Al-Hussein Bin Talal, and Jadara.
