Community Service Committee in Psychology and Special Education Departments organizes a variety of community service activities

The Community Service Committee in Psychology and Special Education Departments in the Faculty of Arts organized a variety of activities in the field of community service. On Tuesday, 20/4/2010, students and faculty members, in organization with the Municipality of Salt, headed to Salt Maghareeb Park, where students cleaned up the park and provided plastic containers. The Committee recommended that the Municipality of Salt provide the area with posters and leaflets that warn visitors about the importance of maintaining cleanliness. The Committee has also visited the headquarters of the Drug Enforcement Administration on Thursday, 8/4/2010. Students listened to a lecture by Lt. Anas Tantawi aimed at educating students of the dangers of drugs and urging them to prevent this negative phenomenon. Students were introduced to the role of Drug Enforcement Administration in reducing this serious phenomenon. Students visited the permanent exhibition in the Drug Enforcement Administration and were briefed on the contents of the exhibition, including smuggling tools and narcotics. The visits conducted by the Committee included a visit to Abdullah bin Maktoum Visual Impairment School. The purpose of the visit was educational.
