Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff visits Al-Ahliyya Amman University
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yusuf Ahmed Al- Huneiti, visited Al-Ahliyya Amman University on Monday as part of expanding the areas of cooperation between the Jordanian Armed Forces and local scientific institutions. Al-Huneiti was received by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, and the President of the University, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan.Major General Al-Huneiti listened to a detailed explanation about the stages of the University's establishment, programs and degrees that it grants, its most important achievements and objectives that it seeks to achieve, its contribution to the development of the educational process, and some matters related to technological development that aim at keeping up with the modern scientific developments and sponsoring the entrepreneurial projects of students. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff stressed the importance of university education to qualify Jordanian youth in the various disciplines needed by local and regional labor markets, expressing admiration for the academic level of the Al-Ahliyya Amman University, and noting the need to strengthen joint cooperation between the University and the Armed Forces.Major General Al- Huneiti was taken on a tour in Al-Ahliyya Amman University Cybersecurity Center and was briefed on the mechanism of work of the Center's classrooms and laboratories.The visit was attended by a number of senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army, members of the University's Board of Trustees, and members of the University's teaching and administrative staff.
