Ceremony for Freshman Students at the Faculty of Supporting Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Tannani, Dean of the Faculty of Supporting Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the Academic Guidance Committee of the Faculty organized the Enlightenment Meeting for Freshman Students at the faculty on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at the Mahmoud Darwish Auditorium.Prof. Dr. Al-Tannani began the meeting with a welcoming speech in which he touched on the many aspects in which the Faculty of Supporting Medical Sciences is characterized by a distinguished teaching staff and the optimal use of the latest methods of teaching, learning and clinical training. He stressed the importance of scientific research to keep up with the ongoing advancements, and at the end of his speech he encouraged students to study well and achieve high marks where he shared success stories as a form of motivation.Dr. Talal Al Qaisi, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Supporting Medical Sciences, delivered a guiding speech in which he spoke about the four departments of the faculty and their heads and encouraged students to work hard and persevere in academic achievement, encouraging them to take advantage of all the opportunities available to them and to be motivated to engage in extracurricular activities. He also presented the University website and demonstrated how to utilize the website to obtain information on bachelor's degree instructions and other general and academic instructions for students, the most important of which were attendance, grading and grade averages instructions.The Deputy Dean for Accreditation and Quality, Dr. Khalid Al-Qaisi, discussed the university's vision, mission and core values and addressed the importance of the students’ knowledge of their rights and duties enlisted in the Charter of Ethics.Dr. Nazim Qandil, Head of the Center for Guidance and Special Education at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, introduced new students to the services provided by the center to students, whereas Mr. Ramzi Al Omairi, as a Representative of the Deanship of Student Affairs, stressed the importance of the services provided by the Deanship, which aim to develop the student's personality by formulating the necessary plans, programs and activities to achieve that goal. It is worth mentioning that many distinguished students in the Faculty of Supporting Medical Sciences participated in organizing the welcoming meeting, which was concluded with artistic entertainment activities that included singing performances.The freshman students also received files containing study and guidance plans and an electronic copy of the student guide. Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Tannani honored outstanding students in all departments of the faculty and concluded the meeting by thanking those who organized the meeting.
