Carnival at Al-Ahliyya Amman University in its open day under the title of (The Day of Home & leader)

The Open Day was held on Tuesday 17/05/2016 under the title of (National Celebration - The Day of Home & Leader) sponsored by Al-Balqa’ Governor - Mr. Saleh Al-Shoshan & Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, The Chairman of Directors’ Board at Al-Ahliyya Amman University.The University witnessed celebrations with the attendance of President Prof. Sadeq Hamed, the Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Majed Useileh, other deans, and a large crowd of students, academics, guests, and visitors from the community. The festival included various activities such as singing, music, ketches, poems, different exhibitions, charity bazaar, martial arts show, medical day, games, competitions, entertainment shows, and bubble soccer exhibition. Many participated in different activities: Public Security Musicians, Gendarmerie Team, Department of Medical Services at the University, Band of University and Deanship of Student Affairs. A Tourism Exhibition (Jordan Tourism Body) has been started alongside the activities and opening Wings such as: Armed forces (Directorate of Moral Guidance in the Armed Forces), Public Security Suite (Public Relations in the Directorate of General Security), Gendarmerie Suite (Public Directorate of Gendarmerie), Civil Defence Suite (Directorate of Al-Balqa’a Civil Defense) and The Great Arab Revolution (Sons of the Great Arab Revolution Club). President Prof. Sadeq Hamed in his last speech at the closing ceremony said: “that it’s a big happy day to express our love for Al-Ahliyya Amman University, which flourishes with uniqueness and a day of national events (Day of Army, Independence Day and the centenary of the great Arab Revolution) we are very proud of such national events under the Hashemite Kingdom led by his Majesty King Abdallah Bin Al-Hussain the Second”. He added, “Our University is very proud to have various nationalities without any kind of discrimination, and Al-Ahliyya Amman University is an academic place for all students from all over the Arab world in the Capital Amman. Al-Ahliyya Amman University Band presented musical song followed by a short poem, Al-Ahli club time, and then a short movie of the Great Arab Revolution preceded by Omar Al-Sharbaji, Goodwill Ambassadors Husam & Wisam ALLouzi singers. Then the sponsor of Closing Ceremony, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, presented a Memorial University Shield for Al-Balqa’a Governor appreciating his sponsorship for the opening ceremony of this festival with the President Dr. Sadeq Hamed and Dr. Hussein Al-Jbour, the Head of Youths Directorate, he also presented medals, cups, and gifts to winners in the first loyalty competition of the late founder Dr. Ahmad Al-Hourani, honoring all the sponsors of this competition, honoring the winner teams of the Great Arab Revolution centenary for soccer, honoring the winner students in Arabic debates, architectural forum and festival of 2016 Short Movies, and presenting memorial shields to all parties that have participated in The Open Day.The participants in different competitions presented the Sport Family Cup to Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, the Chairman of Directors’ Board, appreciating his effort and support for youth, sport, and athletics. Mrs. Heba Al-Sabbagh, The Media Manager of the 2016 Women’ World Cup Organizing Committee, which is hosted by Jordan, presented the Campaign Shirt for both Dr. Maher Al-Hourani and Prof. Sadeq Hamed appreciating Al-Ahliyya Amman University as the first Jordanian University joining such promotional campaign for this competition.
