Career Day in Al-Ahliyya Amman University

On behalf of Prof. Dr. Maher Saleem, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Dr. Sadeq Hamed, Vice President for Academic Affairs, inaugurated the First Career Day held by the Deanship of Student Affairs, Career Qualification Office of King Abdullah II Fund, with the participation of 36 companies in various disciplines and a number of the University graduates and students. The Career Day aims to provide permanent jobs and paid temporary employment opportunities for the University graduates to enable them to gain practical experience to enter the labor market and to provide advisory and training services in administrative, financial, information technology and engineering disciplines of all branches. It also aims to bridge the gap between education and work life reality on one hand and the labor market on the other. This activity comes in line with the objectives of Al-Ahliyya Amman University and King Abdullah II Fund to foster communication and cooperation between the academic community and the local community, connect students with the labor market and break the barrier between students and the public and private sector institutions and student support entities. King Abdullah II Fund students prepared CVs for many alumni and students. A seminar was held on how to prepare for employment interviews and the most important factors of success and excellence. At the end of the second day, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Osama Al-Hanaina, Vice President of the University, presented commemorative shields to the representatives of the participating companies and a prize draw was conducted for the students.
