Business School at Al-Ahliyya Amman University Enhances Education with AI Integration and Active Learning Strategies
The Business School at AAU organized a workshop for faculty members to explore modern educational strategies, particularly the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and the adoption of active learning methodologies. The event was held under the directives of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, and University President, Prof. Sari Hamdan.
Dean of the School, Prof. Sultan Al-Masaeed, delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the importance of embedding AI technologies into academic courses, alongside adopting active learning as a core teaching methodology. He also showcased leading international practices in both areas, which prompted extensive discussions among faculty members on the best approaches to implementation.
The workshop concluded with a decision to begin incorporating AI tools and active learning frameworks into curricula and course plans starting from the current academic year. This step reflects the School’s commitment to enhancing student engagement, strengthening their research and practical skills, and equipping them with the competencies required to meet the fast-evolving demands of the labor market.
