Business School at Al-Ahliyya Amman University Adopts Active Learning in its Curricula
The Business School at Al-Ahliyya Amman University held a workshop for its faculty members dedicated to discussing modern teaching methods, in implementation of the directives of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, and the University President, Professor Sari Hamdan.
Professor Sultan Al-Masaeed, the Dean of the Business School, presented the idea of adopting active learning as a core methodology, showcasing the most prominent leading global experiences in this field. This sparked an extensive discussion among the faculty members about application mechanisms and best practices.
The discussions concluded with an agreement to adopt a new framework that focuses on active learning as a fundamental methodology in the teaching process. Based on the workshop's outcomes, it was decided to begin updating all curricula and course plans in line with this approach, with its actual application to start from the current academic year. This step comes as part of the school's vision to enhance student engagement, develop their practical skills, and prepare them with high efficiency for the demands of the job market.
