Al-Teebi Lectures at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

In the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinians and Memory of the First uprising, Nizar Al-Qabbani Auditorium at Al-Ahliyya Amman University was overcrowded with attendants of academic and administrative staff as well as students, who were keen to listen to a lecture by the Deputy, and Head of the Arab Movement for Change - Dr. Ahmad Al-Teebi - on the political changes in the region. Dr. Al-Teebi was heartily welcomed by the audience and the University President - Prof. Sadeq Hamed, who addressed Al-Teebi as one of the most prominent Arab figures, as he is intellectual, political, and influential person known for his multiple positions in addressing many of the Zionist decisions and actions against our people in the occupied Palestine, and that Dr. Al-Teebi has dedicated his life to serve the issue of his people and nation.Al-Teebi began his lecture by focusing on the Jordanian efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II in protecting the Islamic and Christian Holy sites as well as His Majesty’s relentless and continuous pursuit in all the international forums to support the Palestinian people's rights. In addition to that, he pointed out the importance of the significant role of Jordan in supporting the Palestinian issue as Jordan constitutes great pressure on Israelis to urge them to change their policies and stop their violations against the unarmed Palestinian people. In his lecture, Dr. Al-Teebi addressed the political situation in general, noting the extremist Israeli government cannot be a partner in the peace process and that what is happening in the occupied territories of the uprising reflects the anger of the Palestinian people resulting from unjust and aggressive actions.Dr. Al-Teebi in his lecture touched upon the position of the American President and administration that is in the double standard position in dealing with Arab issues, describing the US President as biased to the Zionist entity against the Palestinians issue, who have suffered form occupation for decades. Al-Teebi spoke about the position and status of the Arab minority in Israel, saying, “You have no idea about the discrimination and suffering that we experience in every aspect of life.”This celebration, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, began by the Royal anthem followed by Ayat from the Holy Qur'an, then the word of the University students' representative and concluded by a short film on the positions of Al-Teebi in the Israeli Knesset. At the end of the lecture, Dr. Anas Al-Saud, Dean of Student Affairs, held a dialogue between the lecturer and the students . Dr. Al-So'ud answered the the students questions. The University shield was gifted to the honourable guest.
