Al-Omariya Schools Host Dr. Omran Salem of the AAU

Dr. Omran Salem, a faculty member in the Department of Networks and Information Security in the Faculty of Information Technology at the AAU delivered a quality lecture to the female secondary students at Al-Omariya Schools on Monday18-9-2017. The lecture dealt with preserving privacy on the social media and preserving it from Electronic crimes. He explained to them the dangers involved in social media and the dangerous use of the unsafe use of the smart devices. He also illustrated the methods which the hackers use in penetrating accounts and explained how to avoid being a victim of electronic crimes. He emphasized the importance of benefiting from the technology in its scientific, educational and effective communication. At the end of the lecture, he emphasized the necessity of the creative handling of social media and its users.
