Al-Karamah Battle Anniversary, Mothers Day at AAU

Tuesday April 10th, 2012. Training for the Mental Health Care course, students of the Faculty of Nursing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) celebrated the anniversary of Al-Karmah Battle and Mothers Day for the benefit of patients of the National Center for Mental Health Care in Al-Fuhais. The celebration was attended by Professor In am Khalaf, AAU Vice President and Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Asfour, director of the Center, Ms Asma Jaber, head of the Nursing Department, and members of the nursing staff in the Center. This event was organized by Dr. Fatima Al-Omari, course teacher, Dr. Marwan Salameh, and lecturer Nisreen Misalami, in collaboration with Dr. Asfour. Dr. Asfour gave a speech in which he thanked the students and highlighted their efforts and positive interaction with the patients. The Dean of the Faculty stressed the role of the Faculty in qualifying graduates, the importance of signing agreements of cooperation with health institutions in order to improve the quality of the health care offered. The Dean also confirmed the role of students in providing good care to patients through participation in curricular and extra-curricular activities.
