Al-Ahliyya Amman University/King Abdullah II Fund Implements the First Phase of Roots Program

The implementation of the first phase of Roots Program, funded by King Abdullah II Fund for Development, was commenced with participation by the volunteer students of King Abdullah II Fund in Al-Ahliyya Amman University on Tuesday, 7/11/2012. The program is designed in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture, offices of Career Qualification in Jordanian universities and Challenges Team. The Program aims to prepare leaders and develop human resources in order to create distinguished Jordanian youth and train them on technical, managerial and leadership skills that qualify them for taking the initiative and enhance their creativity. The Program also provides young people with an opportunity to learn about the local community and its various issues. Young people, through this initiative, are granted the opportunity to volunteer to experience citizenship in word and deed and acquire soft skills which will help them build their future and instill concepts and values in their minds and hearts deeply. Students will express their faith through this Program since they will assume responsibility towards themselves, their families and their homeland and will contribute to developing and flourishing the country through the sweat of the Jordanian youth brow. A large number of Al-Ahliyya Amman University students volunteered in this initiative, with the help of the liaison officers at the University, Razan Al-Zubi, Jihad Awni and Raed Tawba who helped in promoting the initiative among students.
