Al-Ahliyya Amman University Wins Second Place Among Jordanian Universities in the IEEE Jordan 2025 Cybersecurity Competition and First Place in the Web Advance Category

The team from Al-Ahliyya Amman University achieved a remarkable and distinguished result in the 2025 IEEE Jordan Cybersecurity Challenge hosted by Amman Arab University. The university’s team earned second place overall among public and private Jordanian universities, while also securing first place in the Web Advance category. The competition featured strong participation from more than twenty-five Jordanian universities, forming over one hundred student teams that competed across multiple cybersecurity fields. The qualifying round took place on Friday, 31 October, and the top performing teams advanced to the final round, held on Thursday, 6 November 2025, from ten in the morning until five thirty in the evening at Amman Arab University. The event was jointly organized by IEEE Jordan CS & CIS Joint Chapter and IEEE Jordan Cybersecurity Group, and was hosted by the IEEE student branch at Amman Arab University. The goal was to enhance students’ skills in cyber- security and strengthen their readiness to protect systems and address advanced technical challenges.
