Al-Ahliyya Amman University wins first place in Jordanian University Karate Championship for female students
Al-Ahliyya Amman University won first place in the Jordanian University Karate Championship for female students, which was held by the Sports Federation of Jordanian Universities in cooperation with the Jordanian Karate Federation at the Arena Sports Complex at Al-Ahliyya Amman University from 2-2022/1/3.The female student team won first place in the tournament after winning 6 colored medals that came as follows: a gold medal for Hala Treish in the category of singles under-68 kg, a silver medal for the same player in singles Kata, a gold medal in group Kata, a bronze medal in team Combat, another for Catherine Treish in the under 61 kg category, and another for Lujain Shamout in the under 55 kg category.The players Hala Tarish, Catherine Tarish, and Lujain Shamout represented the university team in the tournament, under the supervision of coach Ibrahim Abu Nadbah and follow-up by supervisor of sports activity at the university Arin Qutaishat.In terms of the student championship, Al-Ahliyya Amman university team ranked fourth in the overall total, and the team was represented by: Mazen Al Jaidi, who won the gold medal in singles fighting for the under 84 kg category, Mahmoud al-Sajjan and Mohammad A’yad who won bronze medals in the singles fighting category in the over 84 kg and under 75 kg categories, respectively.
