Al-Ahliyya Amman University Wins First Place Among Jordanian Universities in FinTech Rally 2026

Al-Ahliyya Amman University has achieved another distinguished national milestone by winning first place among Jordanian public and private universities in the university edition of the FinTech Rally 2026 competition, organized by JoPACC (Jordan Payments and Clearing Company), with broad participation from students representing universities across the Kingdom. The university secured first place following a highly competitive contest involving 68 teams and 340 students from 14 Jordanian universities. Amman Al-Ahliyya University's team emerged as the overall winner and was among the six winning teams in the competition, reflecting the outstanding capabilities of its students in financial technology (FinTech) and innovation. This achievement embodies the university's strategic vision of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship while developing students' competencies in emerging technological fields. It also reflects the vision of Dr. Maher Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, who places strong emphasis on investing in young talent and equipping students with the skills needed to keep pace with digital transformation and the evolving demands of the labor market. This commitment further reinforces the university's position as a leading academic institution dedicated to preparing future-ready graduates. The winning team brought together outstanding students from several faculties, including Eliana Zuhair Al-Hadidi, Mohammad Ashraf Al-Hammouri, and Layan Majed Hajjeh from the Faculty of Information Technology; Mahdi Mohammad Abu Hassan from the Faculty of Engineering; and Tasneem Bassem Yousef from the Faculty of Business. Their success highlights the spirit of interdisciplinary collaboration and academic integration across the university. This accomplishment is the result of the university leadership's continuous support for scientific and innovation-driven initiatives, as well as the pivotal role played by the Faculty of Information Technology in leading the team and providing academic and technical supervision, in collaboration with the Faculty of Business and the Faculty of Engineering. The team was mentored throughout the competition by Dr. Ahmad Al-Shamayleh from the Faculty of Information Technology, Dr. Maha Shahadeh from the Faculty of Business, and Dr. Wasan Al-Amro from the Faculty of Engineering, whose guidance and continuous support were instrumental in preparing the students and accompanying them through every stage of the competition until they achieved this remarkable success.
