Al-Ahliyya Amman University Tops Jordanian Universities in Five Disciplines and Ranks First Among Private Universities in Business and Medicine in the 2026 Times Subject Rankings
Al-Ahliyya Amman University has achieved a new qualitative milestone in the Times Higher Education (THE) Subject Rankings 2026, continuing its international advancement and consolidating its position locally as one of Jordan’s most prominent and influential universities in specialized global rankings.
The University ranked first among all Jordanian universities in the following disciplines:
- Computer Science (301–400 band)
- Education Studies (176–200 band)
- Engineering (301–400 band)
- Physical Sciences (301–400 band)
- Arts & Humanities (501–600 band)
In addition, Al-Ahliyya Amman University secured first place among Jordanian private universities in:
- Business & Economics (301–400 band)
- Medical & Health Sciences (501–600 band)
The President of the University, Professor Sari Hamdan, emphasized that these results reflect the University’s strategic vision of academic excellence, continuous program development, and the integration of high-quality research with labor market needs.
Similarly, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, affirmed that the University is steadily progressing toward strengthening its global leadership through sustained investment in educational quality, scientific research, and international partnerships.
These achievements serve as an additional impetus for the University to continue enhancing institutional efficiency, expanding research collaborations, and developing specialized academic programs in line with global best practices, further reinforcing its standing in future international rankings.
