Al-Ahliyya Amman University taekwondo team, within Jordan's national team, win 3 colored medals in Asian championship

Members of Al-Ahliyya Amman University taekwondo team, as part of the Jordanian national team, won three colored medals at the end of their participation in the 24th edition of the Asian Championship, classified as a 4-star tournament, and which was held in Beirut, Lebanon. Saleh Al Sharbati (Tokyo Olympic qualifier) began his participation in the Asian Under-80 kg Championship by beating Filipino Samuel Thomas 29-11, then overtaking South Korean player Park in the semi-finals 20-4, and in the final game, he beat Chinese Taipei player Liu Wei Ting 12-3, thus winning the gold medal of the Asian championship. This was his first gold as he won the silver medal in the edition of 2018.Zaid Al-Helwani won the silver medal in the 63 kg category after defeating the Iraqi Hussein al-Yedani 27-8 in the first round, and overtaking Afghani player Zain Hikmatullah in the semi-finals 28-15, before losing the final fight to Uzbek player Bulatov 27-29.
