Al-Ahliyya Amman University Taekwondo team scores new achievement at Beirut Open Championship

Members of Al-Ahliyya Amman University taekwondo team and the national taekwondo team participated in the Beirut Open Championship, which is classified as a two-star tournament. This comes as a part of the training camp held by the national team in preparation for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.The national team won five colored medals in this tournament, three of which were scored by Al-Ahliyya Amman University Taekwondo team, distributed as follows: Zaid Al-Helwani won gold medal for the category under 63 kg, Saleh Sharbati (qualifier for the Tokyo Olympics) won silver medal for the category under 80 kg, and Natalie Hamidi won bronze medal for the category under 63 kg.It’s worth noting that the players of Al-Ahliyya Amman University team and the national team had finished their participation in the Asian Championship, ranked as a 4-star, by winning 3 colored medals, distributed as follows: Saleh Al Sharbati won the gold medal, Zaid Al-Helwani won the silver medal, and Zaid Mustafa won the bronze medal.
