Al-Ahliyya Amman University Students Participate in Amman Fifth International Marathon
In line with Al-Ahliyya Amman University vision that aims to serve the local community, promote awareness among students of the importance of participation in sports activities, and provide financial support to various charity associations, under the auspices of His Highness Prince Firas Bin Raad, the Fifth Amman International Marathon was launched in Amman with the participation of 10 thousand runners, representing 33 countries worldwide. Students Dania Khleifat, Nora Lozi, Shad Mahyar, Mohammed Zawahra, Anas Ayoub, Ali Erekat, Omar Sit Abuha, and Uday Yousef participated under the supervision of coach Akram Shaqouri in the 10 km race, in which they achieved advanced positions, Sports Activity Division/Deanship of Student Affairs at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, participated through the organizing committee of the marathon in the marathon village by attracting participants, providing guidance, and distributing flyers about the races. The marathon aims to promote healthy living in Jordan through the creation of a new generation of runners, promoting the running sport, and encouraging students to adopt healthy attitudes. At the end of the marathon, HRH Prince Firas Bin Raad presented the awards in a ceremony held at the end point at the Hashemite Square in front of the Roman Amphitheatre.
