Al-Ahliyya Amman University Student, Umaia Al-Dabaiba, Wins Third Place at an International Sports Science Research Conference
Umaia Ibrahim Al-Dabaiba, a student from the Physical Education and Health Department at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, participated in the CHULALONGKORN International Sports and Health Conference held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Umaia Al-Dabaiba presented a research paper titled "Effect of Body Position on Handgrip Strength Measurement," where she earned third place among the best research papers in her field. This achievement reflects the academic and research excellence of both the student and the university.
Professor Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, emphasized the university’s commitment to supporting its outstanding students in various fields. He directed the provision of necessary facilities to enable the student’s participation in the conference, reinforcing the university's role in empowering students to apply their scientific knowledge and contribute to the advancement of scientific research.
Professor Mohammed Al-Mubaydeen, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, praised the student's participation, noting that supporting students' research initiatives is a top priority for the faculty. He affirmed that Umaia’s success reflects the ambitious vision adopted by the faculty to graduate qualified individuals capable of excelling in various fields of sports science.
For her part, Umaia Al-Dabaiba expressed her pride in representing Al-Ahliyya Amman University at this international conference. She said, "My experience at the conference was an invaluable opportunity to exchange expertise with researchers from around the world. The support I received from the university and the Faculty of Educational Sciences was a great motivator in achieving this accomplishment. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to participating in more future events to enhance my skills and expand my knowledge."
Dr. Hatim Al-Shaloul, Head of the Physical Education and Health Department, also praised Umaia’s excellence and her role in representing the department and the university honorably. He confirmed the department's commitment to continuing to support research and scientific participation that showcase students' abilities and highlight the university's standing. He also mentioned previous achievements of the department's students, such as Sief Saqr’s first-place victory at last year’s Arab Creative Student Forum.
This achievement marks a significant addition to Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s journey in supporting scientific research and highlights its success in enabling students to achieve excellence on the international stage.
