Al-Ahliyya Amman University signs a cooperation program with Jordan News Agency

Al-Ahliyya Amman University signed a cooperation program with Jordan News Agency (Petra) in order to strengthen partnership and exchange of expertise and services between the parties. The agreement was signed for the University by its President Prof. Sadeq Hamid and for the Agency by its Director General Faisal Shboul. The program includes the enrollment of the employees of public relations at the University in the overall journalistic courses offered by the Agency free of charge, providing technical and editorial advice regarding media publications issued by the University, covering the activities, events and dissemination of news and scientific research to faculty members at the University. For its part, the University will offer one scholarship annually for one of the children of the Agency employees or one of its employees, in addition to a 20 percent discount of credit hours fee for the Agency staff and their children in the faculties and programs determined by the University.The University will also offer free library services for the Agency workers, and the parties will exchange copies of the specialized publications and prints issued by each party. Each party will add the link of the website of the other party to its website to view all of the services provided to both parties. In addition, joint activities will be organized, including workshops and seminars to benefit from the expertise of the staff of the parties, hosting scientific, technical and information lectures, and participating in the courses held by the two parties in their respective fields. The University will invite Jordan News Agency to participate free of charge in the courses that are related to languages and humanitarian, administrative, accounting, and finance sciences. Prof. Hamid praised the news services provided by the Agency and its credibility in the coverage of events. He pointed out that the cooperation with the Agency program strengthens the bonds between the parties, supports meetings and events between the two sides, and promotes the exchange of experiences and perspectives that are of benefit and interest to everyone.Shboul noted the importance of this program, which seeks to strengthen the relationship with Al-Ahliyya Amman University in view of its remarkable academic position and distinctive reputation, being the first private university in Jordan.
