Al-Ahliyya Amman University receives a delegation from the Erasmus+ program

The President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan, received in his office a delegation from the International Office at the University of Cagliari in Italy, organized by the Global Liaison Center at Al-Ahliyya Amman University. This visit comes in implementation of the agreements concluded by the university through the center and under the Erasmus+ International Framework for Staff Mobility. This mobility aims to strengthen and expand the network of international partners, develop professional skills, share practices, policies and international relations systems and plan future cooperation in student exchange, and promote research collaboration. The delegation, accompanied by the Deputy Director of the Global Liaison Center, Dr. Fairouz Abu Swailem, also visited the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, the E-Learning Center, the Faculty of Nursing, the Faculty of Hospitality and Culinary Arts Management, and the Faculty of Pharmacy to discuss aspects of cooperation with faculty members in areas of common interest. The Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Prof. Reda Shibli, went over the vision of the faculty at the university, which aspires to keep pace with the most important agricultural technologies and face global challenges in food production and achieve food security. He also praised the university's efforts in providing an innovative and stimulating educational environment for students to invest their energies in the field of smart agriculture. The delegation toured the faculty's facilities, visited the laboratories and got acquainted with the greenhouse set up by the faculty, and Dr. Sobhia Seifan, Head of the Agricultural Biogenetics Engineering Department, gave a detailed presentation of the plant tissue laboratory.
