Al Ahliyya Amman University ranks first among private Jordanian universities and is listed among the top one thousand universities worldwide in the QS 2024 Ranking.

For the first time in its history, Al Ahliyya Amman University has entered the league of the top one thousand universities worldwide. The university secured the first position among private universities in Jordan and the third position among all Jordanian universities, following the University of Jordan and Jordan University of Science and Technology. Furthermore, it achieved a global ranking of 801-850 among the best one thousand universities in the world, according to the QS World University Rankings 2024. During the ceremony held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Jordan, Prof. Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, Ms. Jessica Turner, the Executive Director of QS, presented the global ranking certificate to the University President, Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Anas Al-Soud, Vice President for International Relations and Quality. Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Al Ahliyya Amman University, congratulated the university's family, represented by the University President, Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan, Prof. Dr. Anas Al-Soud, Vice President for International Relations and Quality, and all the university's officials and staff on this remarkable achievement. Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan affirmed the university's commitment to these global rankings, which reflect its local, regional, and global standing in various fields. He attributed this accomplishment to the significant and dedicated efforts of all university staff. Prof. Dr. Anas Al-Soud, Vice President for International Relations and Quality, responsible for the rankings file, mentioned that the university started focusing on rankings since 2019, following the directives of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the University President. Since then, the university has consistently achieved and maintained advanced rankings despite increased global competition and the growing number of internationally ranked universities. He highlighted the role of specialized centers within the university, such as the Global Engagement Center, Al-Hourani Center for Applied Scientific Research, and the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center, along with the collective efforts of all university members, as the main reasons for achieving this milestone. Prof. Dr. Al-Soud also expressed his gratitude to his colleagues at the university, regional and global partners, as well as the continuous support and follow-up from Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors. Additionally, he mentioned that the university's Global Engagement Center was directly involved in implementing all indicators relevant to the rankings within the specified timeframe. Furthermore, the QS 2024 Ranking includes four other Jordanian universities: The University of Jordan ranked 498 globally, Jordan University of Science and Technology ranked 731-740 globally, Al-Ahliyya Amman University ranked 801-850 globally, and Princess Sumaya University for Technology ranked 901-950 globally. Additionally, Yarmouk University, the German Jordanian University, and Mutah University are ranked 1001-1200, and the Hashemite University is ranked 1201-1400. Al-Balqa Applied University is ranked beyond 1401. The ranking includes all universities worldwide, totaling more than 40,000 universities. More than 4,000 universities submitted the required data for the ranking, and 1,499 universities were listed. Al Ahliyya Amman University recently achieved a full five-star rating in the QS assessment for this year. Moreover, the university was ranked first among Jordanian universities for the second consecutive year and fourth overall in its history in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. This ranking focuses on the global impact of universities on their local communities and their contributions to achieving United Nations sustainability goals. Al Ahliyya Amman University was ranked 101-200 globally and ranked first among seven Arab universities in the "101-200" category. The university was also ranked second in the Arab world and 25th globally in terms of international student enrollment, according to the QS World University Rankings 2024. Most of its colleges and programs have earned prestigious international accreditations, such as the American Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accreditation for the College of Pharmacy, the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accreditation for the Network Program in the Faculty of Information Technology, and ABET accreditation for all programs in the College of Engineering. The English Language programs received accreditation from the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges, and Universities (ASIC). The College of Business is close to achieving accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), while the College of Nursing is nearing the international accreditation standards of the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and the College of Architecture and Design is on track to achieve the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) accreditation. This achievement adds to the list of accomplishments of Al Ahliyya Amman University, which continually strives for excellence at the local, regional, and global levels.
