Al-Ahliyya Amman University Ranked the Second in the Program “Knowledge Contest” for University Students
Al-Ahliyya Amman University team ranked the second at the end of the program “Knowledge Contest” for students of Jordanian universities. The Television of Jordan produces this program which will be displayed within the few days. Losing the final and decisive round happened by missing just one question for the benefit of Al-Zaytoonah Private University team, who ranked the first. The AAU team which was represented by Basem Adel, Ahmad Al-Kayali, Muayad Dabes and Reham Eshtiwy, achieved a significant number of victories against teams of twenty public and private Jordanian universities such as those of (the American University, Jadara University, Yarmouk University and Petra University). The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Horani, the University President, Prof. Sadeq Hamed and the University community congratulated the champions of knowledge team for this distinguished achievement. Al-Horani hinted that winning this great university contest reflects the cognitive skills which the University students are equipped with and confirms the results they achieved in the Jordanian Universities cognitive proficiency exams. He also added that this victory is just a beginning to create knowledgeable team able to compete at all levels. The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Majed Usaili, indicated that realizing this achievement, complements the series of achievements that students accomplished in different areas during the academic year 2016-2017. He also noted that the Deanship of Student Affairs which announced that the door for registration in knowledge contests is opened, intends to organize an internal contest within the next period among students who belong to different faculties and prepares a large data bank in preparation for similar external contests.
