Al-Ahliyya Amman University Participates in UNIMED Week in Brussels and Signs Two International Memoranda of Understanding

Al-Ahliyya Amman University participated in UNIMED Week in Brussels, Belgium, one of the most prominent annual events organized by the Union of Mediterranean Universities (UNIMED). The event brought together universities, policymakers, and international institutions to promote academic cooperation between Europe and the Mediterranean region. The university’s participation reflects its ongoing efforts to strengthen its international presence and expand global academic partnerships, in line with its strategic focus on internationalization and engagement with global educational institutions. Prof. Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, participated as part of the official delegation in the UNIMED Board of Directors meeting, contributing to strategic discussions and decision-making processes concerning the union’s directions and future programs. The delegation also included Dr. Firooz Abu Suwailem, Director of the Global Engagement Center, and Eng. Ahmed Al-Hourani, Director of the Marketing and Communication Unit. Both participated in various sessions and activities during UNIMED Week, including networking meetings, supporting the university’s efforts to expand its international network and promote joint academic collaboration. On the sidelines of the event, Al-Ahliyya Amman University signed two international memoranda of understanding: the first with Sabha University in Libya and the second with the Marangoni Institute in Italy. These agreements aim to enhance academic and research cooperation and expand exchange and training programs between the institutions.
