Al-Ahliyya Amman University participates in training workshop for nursing program accreditation standards
Dr. Montaha Al-Gharayba, Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Committee for Private Accreditation Standards for Nursing Programs, participated in a training workshop organized by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions on Monday, January 31, 2022. The workshop dealt with the mechanism of applying private accreditation standards for nursing programs which are based on cognitive skills and evaluation methods based on the learning outcomes. Al-Gharayba’s participation stems from Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s keenness on encouraging cooperation with its partners and from the Faculty of Nursing’s endeavor to fulfill the university's objectives. Dr. Thafer Al-Sraira, chairman of the Commission, attended the workshop, in addition to vice deans for accreditation and quality assurance from nursing colleges, directors of accreditation and quality assurance departments in universities, and representatives from the Jordanian Nursing Council. Dr. Al-Gharaiba presented a comprehensive picture of the accreditation standards and the mechanism of application and evaluation. Dr. Rabia’a Allari of the Faculty of Nursing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University also presented an applied design for competency-based learning as an example of achieving accreditation standards.
