Al-Ahliyya Amman University Participates in Kick-off Meeting of the Professional Dental Assistant Diploma Project at the University of Malta

Al-Ahliyya Amman University participated in the in-person kick-off meeting of the Dental Assistant Vocational Diploma Project (DAVDP), held over two days on September 14–15, 2026, at the University of Malta. The meeting brought together representatives of the universities and partner institutions involved in the project from Jordan, Palestine, Greece, Austria, and Malta. The University was represented at the meeting by Dr. Walaa Al-Samadi and Dr. Sohaib Saidam, who participated in discussions on the project’s implementation plan and mechanisms for managing its activities. The meeting also addressed equipment preparation and procurement, capacity building, and mechanisms for developing the Professional Dental Assistant Diploma. The project brings together a consortium of academic and partner institutions, including the University of Jordan and Al-Ahliyya Amman University from Jordan; An-Najah National University and Al-Quds University from Palestine; the University of Patras and EMIVO from Greece; the Medical University of Vienna from Austria; and the University of Malta. The project aims to advance vocational education and training in the field of dentistry by designing and developing a specialized vocational program for dental assistants. It also seeks to strengthen capacity building and knowledge exchange among partner institutions, thereby contributing to aligning educational outcomes with labor market requirements and needs. Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s participation in the project reflects its commitment to strengthening its presence in international academic projects, expanding its network of partnerships with global educational institutions, and contributing to the development of vocational education and training programs in line with international best practices and standards.
