Al-Ahliyya Amman University Participates in Erasmus+ Staff Training Program in Malta

As part of its commitment to expanding international partnerships and strengthening its presence in European academic exchange initiatives, Al-Ahliyya Amman University participated in the Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Training Mobility program, hosted by the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) in the Republic of Malta under Project No. 2023-1-MT01-KA171-HED-000127476. The university's delegation included Professor Muath Hourani, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology; Dr. Arwa Al-Khatib, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Professor Musleh Abu Al-Haj; and Dr. Fairooz Abu Suwailem, Director of the Global Engagement Center. The participation aimed to strengthen academic cooperation between Al-Ahliyya Amman University and MCAST, exchange best practices in higher education, and explore future opportunities for collaboration in teaching, scientific research, and the mobility of faculty members, administrative staff, and students through the Erasmus+ program. These efforts reflect the university's commitment to broadening its engagement with leading international academic experiences. The visit commenced with an introductory meeting highlighting MCAST's academic structure, strategic vision, and extensive network of international partnerships. This was followed by a tour of the campus and the central library, during which the delegation gained insight into the college's advanced learning environment, digital infrastructure, and facilities that support teaching and research while fostering innovation and academic excellence. The program also included a series of meetings with the leadership of the Institute of Information and Communication Technology, as well as the Institutes of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Discussions focused on a range of shared priorities, including curriculum development, strengthening applied and laboratory-based learning, enhancing collaboration with industry, expanding internship opportunities, supporting graduation projects, and updating academic programs to meet the evolving needs of the labor market.
