Al-Ahliyya Amman University participates in Community Violence Conference
In line with Al-Ahliyya Amman University policy related to the need to communicate with civil society organizations and build bridges of cooperation in many areas, the Deanship of Student Affairs participated in the youth conference organized by the Directorate of Balqa Governorate Youth entitled “Community Violence”, under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Mustafa Shunaikat. Dr. Osama Al-Hanaina, Dean of Student Affairs at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, was among the speakers in the conference. He addressed the concept of violence and its forms prevailing in the Jordanian society. He noted that the major causes of community violence are poor awareness, family disintegration, unemployment and leisure time of the youth community, which increased this phenomenon, which is alien to our Jordanian community. At the end of the conference, which was attended by several members of the youth centers in the province, university students, and local community, the speakers answered the audience on how to combat community violence and the solutions to mitigate this phenomenon.
