Al-Ahliyya Amman University Participates in “Chinese Bridge” Global Competition

In a remarkable accomplishment reflecting our students’ passion for excellence and openness to different cultures, Al-Ahliyya Amman University participated in the Chinese Bridge Global Competition, one of the most important international contests for students of Chinese around the world. This year’s competition was held at the University of Jordan, Faculty of Arts, Al-Farahidi Hall and brought together competitors from various Jordanian universities, including advanced Chinese learners in their third and fourth years of study, as well as master’s degree holders. Al-Ahliyya Amman University was represented by Yousra, a second-semester student majoring in Chinese and English, under the supervision of Dr. Nasri Abu Khudeir, Professor of Chinese at the University. Despite her relatively short period of studying Chinese, Yousra delivered a remarkable 3-minute speech in Chinese and successfully answered a range of cultural and linguistic questions. Her performance stood out due to her confidence and ability to express herself in a challenging setting- reflecting the high quality of education and academic support provided by the University. In recognition of her outstanding participation, the Chinese Embassy honored Yousra for her efforts and achievements, strengthening the spirit of cultural exchange and communication between Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the Chinese community.
