Al-Ahliyya Amman University participates in American University/ Madaba Seminar on instructions of Accreditation Authority

As part of the series of meetings carried out by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions, a seminar was held at the American University in Madaba on the operative instructions of the Accreditation Commission and its future aspirations on Wednesday evening 11-8-2021. Dr. Sari Hamdan participated in the seminar along with the president of the Accreditation Commission, Professor Dr. Zafer Al-Sarairah, vice president of the Accreditation Commission, Dr. Zaid Al Amber, and assistant chairman of the Commission, Dr. Saad bin Mohammad, in addition to a number of private university presidents, including President of Princess Somaya University for Technology Dr. Mashhour Rifai, President of The University of Jadara, Dr. Mohammed Talib Obeidat, President of the University of Philadelphia, Dr. Moataz Sheikh Salem, Vice President of Irbid National University, Dr. Ayman Al-Ahmad, Vice President of Applied Sciences University, Dr. Iman Al-Bashiti, President of The University of Zaytouna, Dr. Mohammed Majali, Vice President of the Middle East University for Academic Affairs, Dr. Salam Al-Mahadin, and President of the American University, Dr. Mamoun Akroush, his Assistant President for Administrative and Executive Affairs, Mr. Adnan Sahaouna, and Assistant President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Wadi’ Al-Abd.Dr. Zafer Al-Sarraira, President of the Commission, reviewed the operative instructions of the Accreditation Commission and stressed the importance of continuous communication and consultation with Jordanian private universities to develop effective accreditation standards and instructions for the purposes of university and higher education development, in order to fulfill grand royal visions regarding the advancement of the higher education reality and its development in Jordan. The audience discussed the possibility of improving the formulation of accreditation regulations and standards in order to meet the future aspirations of the Commission and private universities. At the end of the seminar, Professor Maamoun Akrush, President of the American University, awarded memorial shields to the President of the Commission and university presidents.
