Al-Ahliyya Amman University Organizes Workshop on Patents and Intellectual Property Protection

Al-Ahliyya Amman University, represented by its Business Incubator, organized a specialized workshop titled “Your Comprehensive Guide to Patents and Intellectual Property Protection”. The event aimed to raise the awareness of faculty members and researchers on the importance of safeguarding innovations and intellectual property rights. The workshop was delivered by Ms. Maysaa Al-Saba’, Head of the Patents Department; Eng. Darwish Abu Qudoom, Patent Technical Examiner; and Mr. Sa’ed Shubaki from the Technology and Innovation Support Centers Unit. The speakers addressed the legal and technical aspects of patent registration, available protection mechanisms for inventors, and the role of Technology Support Centers in facilitating researchers’ access to knowledge resources and international registration. The event was attended by Professor Ahmad Abu Orabi, Dean of the Deanship of Scientific Research; Ms. Raya Al-Sharif, Director of the Business Incubator; and a number of faculty members from various faculties. The workshop featured interactive discussions and diverse questions from the audience, reflecting a growing interest in the field of intellectual property and academic innovation.
