Al-Ahliyya Amman University organizes introductory meeting for students of Faculties of Pharmacy and Allied Medical Sciences
Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Tannani, Dean of the Faculties of Pharmacy and Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the committees of academic advising and extracurricular activities of the two faculties organized an introductory meeting for freshmen on Thursday, 11 November 2021 at the Arena Theatre.The meeting included a welcome speech by Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Tannani to the faculty’s freshmen, noting that the faculty’s teaching staff include a distinguished group of professors who employ the latest methods of teaching and learning, and stressing at the same time the importance of research in keeping up with contemporary developments. At the end of his speech, Dr. Al-Tannani urged students to study and work hard, recounting some success stories. Professor Dr. Wissam Ammari, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Pharmacy, then reviewed the most important issues related to academic advising and the academic advisors and their duties, noting that everything the student needs, including all academic plans and guides, are available electronically on the website of the Faculty of Pharmacy, encouraging students to take advantage of all opportunities available to them and urging them to engage in extracurricular activities. After that, the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, Dr. Talal Al Qaisi, reviewed the four departments of the college and their chairs. Dr. Al-Qaisi then, cited the vision, message and objectives of the college and provided a set of tips and instructions to the students, the most important of which was urging students to take on hard work and diligence. Dr. Nazim Qandil, Head of the Center for Advising and Special Education, talked about the most important services provided by the center to students and how it helps them adapt to their university life. Finally, Mr. Ramzi Al-Omairi of the Deanship of Student Affairs spoke about the most important services provided by the Deanship, which aim to develop the student's personality by creating the necessary plans, programs, and activities. The meeting included playing an orientational video about the university and its facilities, and various students’ participations that included student clubs, singing, and theater. Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Tannani concluded the meeting by thanking those who organized the event and honoring all participant students.
