Al-Ahliyya Amman University organizes a workshop in collaboration with the British Council

Based on Al-Ahliyya Amman University belief in the importance of developing the skills of faculty members in various aspects, the University, in collaboration with the British Council, organized a two-day workshop on the mechanisms required to improve the graduates’ employment opportunities after graduation. The workshop was supervised by higher education British experts, including Dr. Sally Warid, Director of Higher Education at the British Council for the Region Affairs, Dr. Jilin Marshall of the University of Salford, and Dr. Jilin King, of the University of South Wales. The workshop, held at Hourani e-Learning Centre in the University, was attended by Vice President, deans and heads of departments.Dr. Sadeq Hamed, President of the University, delivered a speech on inaugurating the workshop, in which he reviewed the progress of the University, as the first private university that is concerned with training and qualifying the graduates to keep up with the employment requirements and supplement the Jordanian labor market with distinguished Arab graduates. Dr. Hamed commended the role of the British Council in supporting the education sector in Jordan and all other sectors. The workshop lasted for two days, during which the participants discussed the various aspects of employment and the role of universities in preparing graduates who are able to compete in the labor market. The workshop attendees proposed a number of recommendations, which will be implemented within AAU strategy.
