Al-Ahliyya Amman University Organizes a Seminar on “Drugs and the Risk of Addiction.

The MA Students of the Clinical Psychology program in the Arts and Sciences Faculty at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized an educational seminar on “Drugs and the Risk of Addiction for students of the Nursing Faculty under the supervision of Prof. Faisal Al-Zarrad, where the students, Marwan Salamah and Nihal Atamlah explained the concept of addiction and the associated risks of physical and mental health problems. They also provided an explanation on the types of drugs, their sources and business forms that spread in the community. Video clips of recovered drugs addicts were shown during the seminar.The seminar included an introductory session on counselling at Special Education Center at Al-Ahliyya Amman University by Dr. Joseph Bawalsah, the Centre Director, where he discussed the development of this Centre as a leading initiative from the University administration that aims to provide psychological free counselling and academic and educational specialized services for University students and community members.
