Al-Ahliyya Amman University organizes a poetry evening in support of Jerusalem
Within the extracurricular activities held by Al-Ahliyya Amman University under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sadeq Hamed, President of the University, the Deanship of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Palestinian students at the University, organized a poetry evening in support of Jerusalem in the presence of the Palestinian poet Rami Yousef. Dr. Sadeq Hamed welcomed the guests and students, and praised the efforts of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan represented by His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein in preserving the Islamic holy sites, particularly Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock and conserving the religious identity in these holy places. The guest poet, Rami Yousef, recited some of his poems which address the Palestinian people and land. Documentary films on the city of Jerusalem and the stages of colonialism were featured. In conclusion, the President of the University, Dr. Sadeq Hamed, hosted in his office poet Rami Yousef. Dr. Hamed handed the University Shield to him in recognition of the poet and his poetry achievements.
