Al-Ahliyya Amman University organizes a lecture entitled “Arab Situation this Spring”
Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted HE Dr. Kamel Abu Jaber, former Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr. Abu Jaber gave a lecture entitled “Arab Situation this Spring” in Dr. Ahmed Al-Hourani e-Learning Auditorium. HE Dr. Abu-Jaber addressed the reasons that led to the Arab Spring in some Arab countries. In his lecture, Abu Jaber underlined the need to release public freedoms, and the need to nurture future generations on the basis of freedom of thought and expression. The lecturer pointed out that there is a national consensus on the legitimacy of the political system in Jordan, which have promoted comprehensive political and economic reform ahead of the Arab Spring. Dialogue was opened between the lecturer and attendees about the situation in the region. The audience unanimously agreed on the need for people to be armed with awareness and for the community groups to unite to preserve the resources of the country, given that Jordan is undergoing real reform efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein. These efforts hold a promising and prosperous future.
