Al-Ahliyya Amman University launches winter campaign

On Thursday, 20/11/2014, Prof. Dr. Sadeq Hamid, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, sponsored the launch of the winter campaign organized by the Supreme Committee for Activities and Local Community Service for providing in-kind assistance to poor families, widows and orphans. The campaign included distributing heaters and blankets to indigent families in Baqa and Salt. Aid is provided based on field visits and obtaining information about needy families to identify their needs and avoid non-duplication to ensure that assistance is provided equitably to all poor families. During the launch of the campaign, Dr. Sadeq said it is imperative for all civil society institutions to extend a helping hand to the poor and needy due to the economic conditions and the aggravating state of poverty and unemployment.
