Al-Ahliyya Amman University Launches the Sixth Ceremony for the Campaign: Because You are My Partner, Keep Your Eyes on the Homeland.

Al-Ahliyya Amman University launched the sixth ceremony for the Campaign Because You are My Partner, Keep Your Eyes on the Homeland. The campaign that took place at Nizar Qabbani Theater was under the patronage of Brigadier Qasim Ibrahim, Director of Criminal Investigation Department. The activity was performed in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Sadeq Hamed and a large number of members of the administrative and academic staff and students of the University.The Campaign was implemented by the Friends of the National Security and the Directorate of the General Security through the Directorate of Public Relations, the Community Police, and the Swaed Commission for Jordanian Youth. The Campaign aims to activate the positive role of citizens through their contact with the free emergency number 911 in case of seeing any suspicious activity that could threaten the security, the safety, and the stability of the homeland and the citizen. This campaign enhances the partnership principle between the State institutions and the citizens to maintain the security and the safety of the homeland.Brigadier Qasim Ibrahim emphasized that the philosophy of crime prevention is based on the citizens personal and social responsibility towards the fight against crime. The residents have an important role in crime prevention, and this role is no less important than the traditional police and various justice bodies.Ibrahim pointed out that the concept of security is the main element in the stability of countries. He emphasized that the survival of society and its development depends on maintaining security and protecting it from the dangers of crime and reducing its spread. Crime is considered a scourge to all members of the community and its institutions.The President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Sadeq Hamed, addressed the attending students focusing on the necessity of full cooperation with the security bodies and that they must be supportive in maintaining the homeland security and informing the security bodies of any information they see affecting the homeland security. He emphasized that everyone should be a friend of the security bodies to keep Jordan an oasis of safety and security and an incubator for all Arabs.The Executive Head of the Friends' Institute of National Security, Ashraf Al-kailani, said It is necessary to activate the positive role of citizens to be soldiers in their homeland. He also stated that the citizen should know that he has duties to serve his Homeland in exchange for his rights which are guaranteed by Law and the Constitution.The ceremony included a display of 911 and terrorism videos. The ceremony also included a national poem presented by the instructor Iman Al- Hiyari, Faculty member at the University, titled Jordan is the Homeland of the Pride and the Greatness. At the end, the patron of the ceremony handed appreciation shields to Al-Ahliyya Amman University and to the Friends Institutes' of National Security. He distributed also campaign ambassador certificates to a number of intellectual leaders and activists who have been selected by the authorities of the campaign. The University also handed its shield to the patron of the ceremony.It is noteworthy that the activities of the Campaign Because You are My Partner, Keep Your Eyes on the Homeland will continue in all governorates of the Kingdom, in order to spread its goals and to allow its benefits to reach a larger number of citizens.
