Al-Ahliyya Amman University, King Abdullah II Fund, organizes a visit to a nursing home within “A Smile of Hope Project”
Within the extracurricular activities conducted by Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Deanship of Student Affairs, King Abdullah II Fund, organized a visit to a nursing home within “A Smile of Hope Project” led by student Mohammed Fahmi Al-Khatib of the Faculty of Engineering. The project aims to rehabilitate the elderly and grant them the opportunity to cope with modern technology and learn how to use the computer and the internet. The team leader, Mohammad Khatib, said that the goal of this project is to raise the morale of the elderly and cheer their hearts. The team of “A Smile of Hope Project” asserted the need to identify the conditions experienced by the elderly and the need to deal with aging as a natural stage of human life experience. They further affirmed the need to educate young people on how to deal with the elderly and not to marginalize this category by the community. At the end of the visit, the students of the project had lunch with the elderly.
